I am Muntala Damba from Salaga in the Savanna Region of Ghana. I’m the Manager and a presenter of Magyk101.9 fm.

If I was faced with such situations, I take

  1. A cellphone; because we’re now in a technological world and would definitely need my phone for calls and what have you to get by.

  2. First aid; would need that incase of emergency since we’re evacuating because of floods.

  3. Food and water; of course one can’t live or go by without food and water especially in situations like that.

My name is Haggai Lenganji Sinkolongo am the District Agriculture Information Officer for Mufulira District, Copperbert Province under the Ministry of Agriculture.

My 3 essential items I need to carry in a survival kits are
*Food
*Water
*Cellphone.

  1. I will pick any planting material that I will rely on, which will help me survived.

  2. Anything that will help me get a roof which I and my family will be under.

  3. I will pick anything that will bring income to me.

  3. Food stuffs

  1. Tubers/ Seeds: for a start up farming to my new place.

  2. farm tools: for the production

  3. Battery powered radio: for information especially weather.

In the situation of emergency flooding the thee things I would get :
1). Cell Phone - for easy communication
2). Camera and Sound Recorder - to keep people updated to the climate.

Hi @Busi_Ngcebetsha my name’s are Ndabile Liche, from eastern part of Zambia, working with COMACO as a radio coordinator.
The three essential things I can carry is,

  1. Phone I can quickly carry my phone because with the phone I can easily communicate with my family and get even update over the same disaster through Facebook,radio, Google etc
  2. My ATM. I can’t leave my ATM behind. I can withdraw money send to my family, buy food,travel,buy new clothes,book hotel and many more if I have ATM with me.
  3. National Registration Card (NRC). I don’t think I can leave my green National Registration Card behind. I will not be allowed to cross boarders if I don’t have NRC with me.

I feel these are the three things I can carry in situations like that one. THANKS :+1:

  1. I can get seeds: I can plant these seeds immediately the droughts are over.
  2. A hole: for tilling the land were the seeds will be planted.

3.Money: Money can be used to buy pastesides in groundnuts are affected by diseases.
