The issue of practising gender equality at home is essential. In my community, women were taken as propertiies to share along the husband’s properties and are not considered to be considered. Female children too are not considered when a man’s properties are to be shared. It is only the male that are considered. When a man is alive unless he is very wealthy or educated girl child education is almost neglected. But thanks to God that is a forgoten issue nowadays. Since a few practised it and saw the beauty in it. Women are given the chance to come from there husband’s family nowadays to take a share of there father’s properties. Some are even called from there husband’s family to come and take chieftaincy titles in there father’s family. There lot of women in exalted positions in government politics and so on nowadays. Girl child education are given the same priorities as the boy child. It has also become a competition for parents to showcase there girl child education . People now brag about it in our society
