My name is Christopher Mwanza. I’m an agricultural extension officer for the ministry of Agriculture in Lufwanyama district of the copperbelt province, Zambia 
. I’m interested in knowing about ways of mitigating climate change considering the increased poverty levels that drive farmers (communities) into activities of deforestation and unsustainable ways of producing agricultural products here in Lufwanyama.

I Am Ndabile Liche from Zambia, Radio Coordinator for community Market for Conservation (COMACO). COMACO is an organization that is also working with more than six Radio Stations in eastern part of Zambia spearheading a farmer program called Farm Talk.
What I would like to learn from this platform is on how best we can communicate climate change information our farmer program so that the audience can better understand the climate change issues thereafter I really want to learn more on the mitigation/Alleviate measures for climate change.

Three things I would pick in case of such impending disaster are as follows:
-
Food Supply; food is critical for everyone’s survival. So I will pick as much food as possible before the disaster strike since there has been early warning issued.

Source of Information: My Radio is so dear to me. So I will carry my Radio set with adequate battery so I can track the disaster as it unfolds. In case I have access to the Internet, I will also carry some data with me so I can share my conditions, locations with the world. This will help in making distress call for help to come.

Thirdly, I will pick adequate warm clothes, beddings and cash. This will prove critical as conditions where I am taking refuge might also change. In the event that I will need to relocate, I should have enough cash on me.
Disasters that have been warned are easy to cope with compared to those which strike un- announced. And I pick them on assumptions that I am not a journalist but an ordinary farmer. Safety first.
