Three things I would pick in case of such impending disaster are as follows:

  1. Food Supply; food is critical for everyoneā€™s survival. So I will pick as much food as possible before the disaster strike since there has been early warning issued.

  2. Source of Information: My Radio is so dear to me. So I will carry my Radio set with adequate battery so I can track the disaster as it unfolds. In case I have access to the Internet, I will also carry some data with me so I can share my conditions, locations with the world. This will help in making distress call for help to come.

  3. Thirdly, I will pick adequate warm clothes, beddings and cash. This will prove critical as conditions where I am taking refuge might also change. In the event that I will need to relocate, I should have enough cash on me.

Disasters that have been warned are easy to cope with compared to those which strike un- announced. And I pick them on assumptions that I am not a journalist but an ordinary farmer. Safety first.

Thank you very much.
