Good day olusina motiasan is my name from Ejulenen 93.7fm igbodigo, okitipupa, ondo state, Nigeria. A programmer, producer, and a presenter.collaboration with stakeholders do helps in address gender issues whenever we present an agricultural radio program that has to do with both gender for example when I presented a program on our station Ejulenen 93.7fm igbodigo, the program was titled agbeloba(farmers are king) in a certain topic:waste to wealth, males produced the waste while females converted it to wealth this easily address the gender issue

Hi everyone,
Peace greetings.
I am Pr. Lazarus Laiser a Maasai from Arusha a garden of Eden, and the land of Kilimanjaro Tanzania. I am working with Farm Radio International Tanzania Office, as the Project Officer.
My interests and hobby are in tourism, swimming etc.
My experience in media is from 1995 and focused on spiritual and agricultural radio programs production and broadcast. My aim from that time to date is to serve small scale farmers and pastoralists who seems to be forgotten in poor life. It is true there is a big challenge with collaboration especially developmental programs like agriculture.
Looking forward for way forward on this matter
Thank you
Its time to see what can be done to catalyses this to happen.

Benefit of broadcaster and stakeholders collaborating farm program is it enable them to know more about what they were practicing and help both to key into the new innovative for instance the topic reducing post-harvest in maize that is the uses of been leaves as pesticides which is new to some farmers which makes listen to that very particular program on radio

My name is Gift Malambo. I am journalist working for Liberty FM Radio in Zambia. I have been radio broadcasting on agricultural related matters for more than 15 years. I am locally known to be the producer and reporter for two of the most popular agricultural radio programs on the national radio station (ZNBC radio 2) called “Voice of the Farmer” and “Farming Today”. These programs are also aired in some Zambian local languages.

In my spare time, I like playing chess game. It refreshes my mind as I try to think what to report on that is relevant to the farmers.

In Zambia, the climate change is a challenge which has affected many farmers despite facing other problems such as timely access to quality farming inputs, modern training on matters related to crop production and farming management. There is need to promote new innovations and improved technologies whose research findings are in line with government agricultural policies of increasing agricultural production. The need for investment in agriculture/ research, seed breeding, and seed processing as well as providing crop protection solutions in light of challenges such as climate change, low yields, diseases, pest and drought.

I believe I also have to introduce myself. My name is Busisiwe Ngcebetsha. I am a South African. I am a Distance Learning consultant with Farm Radio International. I have a background in radio. I have worked for a community radio station for a number of years before deciding to enroll for a course in radio production. I have also worked for an NGO whose main focus was to develop community media. We trained community radio stations and other organisations on content development and other aspects of radio. I have also been consulted by FRI from time to time to moderate discussions and facilitate online courses.

I am happy to be here and I believe I will also learn a lot from this discussion. Where I am, most stakeholder organisations do not use the broadcasting services because they have no budget for it. At the same time radio stations need stakeholders to produce quality informative programs. I would like to know how stations and stakeholders can meet each other halfway in making sure they all benefit from collaborating.

One of my hobbies is traveling. I enjoy meeting new people from different cultures, trying different things.

Cheers
